Christina Ruth Matheson Jones

Chris Jones passed away suddenly on 20 July 2011 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, at age 65, following a long battle with chronic illness.  Her unexpected death has saddened her family and friends, who had admired her strength and courage as she struggled with ill health for the past fifteen years.

Celebrations of Chris’s life will take place in both Edmonton and Ottawa

In Edmonton, a celebration of Chris’s life will be held at Garneau United Church, 11148 84 Ave., from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. August 20th.

In Ottawa Chris will be interred in a family ceremony at the Matheson family plot in the cemetery in Kars, south of Ottawa.

There will be a celebration of Chris’s life in Ottawa on Saturday, August 27^th.  It will be from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. in Beecroft Hall at Rideau Park United Church, 2203 Alta Vista Drive. 

(This is one block north of Kilborn Ave at the only stop sign on Alta Vista Drive).
